It says something about the intelligence levels and brain capacity of people from your own states (since we're swinging this club...) when you two can't even remember my introduction here or even bother to click thrice through to the welcoming forum. But hey, lets not judge people here.

The 'I concur" wasn't even in this thread. What can I say? I'm a Frank Abagnale fan. Very Happy

"Don't really need to name names, was making a generalised statement about one sport over the other."

Washes about as well as Bob Geldof, that line of bulldust. If you're going to big-note yourself with that kind of call you need more than 'everybody knows...' internet speculation frogshit.

And no I'm not Anthony Gonzales, Pancho Gonzales or even Speedy Gonzales. Though right now you're doing a good Speedy impression, backwards with that blatant blustering 'generalised statement' wimp-out.

Wozzies - what can one say...the one decent Test cricketer they have produced in the past 20s - Hussey - in his decency and clear intelligence is more of a natural eastern stater...his younger brother certainly saw the light

of course we expect that Embee the unnaturally acute FB'er from worrywartland will doubtless move to so his clan can enjoy the opportunities offered by the estern states - for the purposes of this argument "eastern states" excludes QBillyland

Just as a matter of interest, I am genuinely seeking information with this question....how often if ever, have any of you who are on line now, checked another FBer's 'intro' thread before you answered a post of theirs for the first time?

It's normally the other way round. I see a post from a newcomer and then look for an intro.

Never.

Lots of soft 'tanking' from the tennis players today.

Hmmmm, just thought I'd ask because most times I forget the intro thread is there let alone what it's meant to be for....just for the hell of it I went back and looked for Baggs's intro post to see what was supposed to be so bloody memorable about it, still none the wiser, maybe BG and the intro is a bit like our subcontinental comedic mate the belfry-resident and the reputation numbers, or even vilks and his sex life, ie hasn't worked out nobody else cares but him.

I think our English friends care deeply about vilks' sex life. It could be their grandmother he is shagging.

Nice one, Mick. Was it a domestic tournament performance that got him qualified for it or was there some qualification rounds for it?

It's a remarkably complex process innit?

I never said there was anything special about it but someone with the reading capabilities of an eight-year old, who was wondering where I came from, would kind of notice that I was invited here by someone else who I know from somewhere entirely unrelated to cricket or FB.

But I understand if you didn't get that. There does seem to be a few "special" characters that hang around here.

I wasn't wondering where you came from because I couldn't GAF where you come from, outside that your prose style seemed vaguely familiar but I don't even GAF that much about that.

You were throwing your weight around, making big allegations which had absolutely nothing behind them and no basis for anybody to believe you had the foggiest what you were talking about, I called you out, the next thing I remember is a massive asthma attack from the cloud of dust you created backpedalling your arse off.

Cheers trike.

He went through 3 qualifying rounds to get into the tournament in Brisbane last week. He won his first round match (his first big time ATP tournament match win), played Andy Murray in the second round & lost in 3.

To be honest, I think they handed him a gig in this current Sydney tournament based on his Brisbane performance. Fresh new face for television types to get hyperbolic about, for a game or two anyway.

He has his first match in a major the following week.
