How out of place does Twatson look in the list of AB Medallists???
He's no Brett Lee.

Re: AB Medal
They were the two years he played like the International cricketer everyone hoped he could be.
Tests
averaged 49.88 with the bat and took 29 wickets at 29.41 with the ball
rest of career 28.26 with the bat and 36.37 with the ball
JAMODIS
averaged 45 with the bat and 23 with the ball
rest of career 38 with the bat and 36 with the ball
No one questioned him winning the AB after those seasons
Its just we remember the wasted years
If you think Mitch Johnson 2011 you wonder how he has an AB in 2014 and the ICC cricketer of the year in 2009 ...or if you think of those years you forget 2011

No one will remember Twatson other than for being a bottom lip dragger and a review waster.
Clearly the seasons you refer to were a massive aberration.

IIRC Mick converted Skully to the Watto fan club.

Meh, under sufferance I acknowledged that he may be finally realising his massive potential and happily bandwagonned. Alas he soon returned to the sook we all hated.
Much like my views on NoShow. Massive talent largely wasted on showponism. He too might finally be getting his head in the game. I will bandwagon him as well if he continues to show such talent.
Re: Bung, his AB was during his Bung 3.0 period (Bung 1.0 was world class and 2.0 was rubbish) in the wake of the retirement of Pidge and Warnie. He stepped up big time. Bung 3.0 (Nov 2005 to June 2008) - 25 Tests 128 wickets @ 25.23 SR=47.80

On tonight. They would probably get away with not presenting it this year. We've been so shyte, no one stands out. Second maybe?.
Re: AB Medal
Second surely - best bowler and one of the best batsmen.
Would be a great reward for his dedication to come back as well.

The smart (ie non-LPFSP) money in the Melbourne meeja is on the GOAT....though Cummings would be my first thought.

Don't they normally have more, but they figured they had to allow extra time for Deano's acceptance speech?

Re: AB Medal
It'll be interesting how they treat Smith and Warner regarding the HoF. Bancroft was probably never going to be a contender and Warner may not play tests again, though Jones would appear to have got thru on his ODI record.
Remember all the brouhaha over God in the AFL and that was an incident after his retirement. Are there any set rules for the HoF or does an ever changing old boys committee decide?
