The Pellvert appeared at court today for mention of his case. Case won't commence properly for a while

A bit like James Hardie, who strung out cases hoping the plaintiff would peg lut from mesothelioma or asbestosis.

Abuse victims tend to peg out early. Maybe Pellvert and his advisors will adopt a similar tactic.

Actually I think the prosecution's flagged they need a shedload of time. So he may be able to look good whilst they're "pegging out".

Hard to believe that this is his first offence at the age of 68 (innocent until proven guilty yadayadayada).

Mr Poo's bail is US $9.2m!

Clearly the evidence against him is pretty compelling.

I've got family members to the right of the Kaiser and friends to the left of Trotsky whose only thing in common was it didn't come soon enough.

With the Weinstein scandal showing little sign of slowing down, you get the feeling that something big is about to happen re dishing the dirt.

I though in light of the George Pell discussion above, this link was interesting.  Is Pell's case collateral damage of the events referred to below?

Re: Jimmy Savile

Post by skully on Mon 30 Oct 2017, 08:25

Yeah, interesting revelation that he allegedly propositioned a 14 year old Anthony Rapp 30 years ago

"House of Cards star Kevin Spacey says he doesn't remember making a sexual advance towards a teenage boy but has apologised for his actions.

Anthony Rapp, best known for starring in the musical Rent and Star Trek: Discovery, told BuzzFeed he was invited to a party at Spacey's apartment in 1986 when he was just 14 and said Spacey, then 26, put him on his bed and climbed on top of him at the end of the night.

Rapp, who is now 46, spoke out following accusations of sexual harassment against American film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Spacey released a statement following Rapp's accusations and apologised for any misconduct.

"I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years." "

-----------------------------------------

It seems the Weinstein blowup has emboldened many to speak up.

Conjecture on radio today that Spacey apologised because there is a lot more to come out about his behaviour.
