Re: Trouble in Aus State Politics
Merry Xmas, Eddie
"Former NSW minister Eddie Obeid will face corruption charges, but it will be for his role in securing long-term leases for his restaurants at Sydney’s Circular Quay and not for his coal deals.
The Independent Commission Against Corruption said on Thursday the Director of Public Prosecutions had served a notice on the former ALP powerbroker that he would be charged with misconduct in public office.
The notice said Mr Obeid had induced Stephen Dunn, a senior official for the Maritime Authority of NSW, to deal favourably with Circular Quay Restaurants, a company of which the Obeid family was effective owner.
...
The restaurants case is due for mention at the Downing Centre Local Court on December 18."
------------------------------------
So much for Eddie's skite that their was "a 1% chance that he'd ever face prosecution". And that other shonky pinko donkey, Ian McDonald, has been charged over the Doyles Creek mine deal.

if found guilty...I look forward to the prospect of I McDonald grabbing his ankles in perpetuity...met this guy in the 70s and he set my teeth on edge then...I remember thinking he could have been a kiddy fiddler...he was that sort of creep...hey so I was wrong...he is just another alleged Labor grubbing grub...
aside from blokes torturing their partners and children there is nothing lower than labor movement grubs taking advantage...dont care if it is $10 or $100,000 or more...You expect abject filth like Murdoch, Palmer, Downer, Packer, the Shytehouses, Rhynstone cow imitators to be abject - but higher standards apply for humans

Don't be harsh on the PM, he was the best possible asset for Labor in the Vic elections.

Nice to see my Pinko buddies feeling the ire that I felt while Krudd, the Vulture, then amusingly, Krudd again, were leading the country.

That's funny.
It is not remotely funny.
I am already composing letters demanding my new Greens rep support gaoling of cyclopaths who ride on footpaths, ride through red lights and pedestrian only areas....
I believe by the end of this term she will resign
