Re: The i-Gen thread
I'm calling bullshit on that. If people are really that stupid then what's the point in going on .

Re: The i-Gen thread
Aye....one of my favourite philosophers once was in an accident in Paris that left him pinned under his heavy motorbike. Despite his calls for help to passersby, he was ignored for a period of time.
The incident resulted in him being profoundly depressed and he wrote about the lack of point in a world where people will not intercede to help another in basic need. He topped himself soon after.

Re: The i-Gen thread
My son has T1DM and I am petrified that he could have a hypo in town one night and be ignored as a drunk by multiple potential saviours. It does not help that I have seen this happen to others.
Slightly different issue, I know - premature misjudgment rather than detached inaction. Still a worry.

tattoo "type 1 DM" - not my choice obviously!
it partly covers a keloid scar on his right forearm following an earlier compound humerus/radius fracture which required surgery
yes we are all accident prone

Sweet Jesus, is there nothing i-Gen won't stoop to in their efforts to be the centre of attention?

Re: The i-Gen thread
OK, I'll nibble.
I bought my iMac because of the photo and photo-editing software, music storage and portability, and Garage Band. My younger brother, who knows a bit about music recording, originally urged me to move in the Mac direction for that reason.
I bought my iPhone because it automatically synchronises with the iMac, so calendar and contact info is always up to date.
Neither are perfect and I won't ever be touching Apple music (because they substitute the versions of songs they think you should have for the versions you have carefully uploaded) ... nothing is perfect, and it's mostly OK.
It also seems to me that for every moronic Apple disciple who has to buy every new Apple gadget on release there is a hater who will buys new Android, dude, simply because it's not an iPhone ...
No?
