Re: World Athletics
Right, an American 1-2 in the steeplechase. A result that might have drawn plenty of suspicion had the roles been reversed. The reaction to Ye Shiwen in 2012 comes to mind...

Re: World Athletics
Never mind Usain. You are a legend - one of those people that at your height it was just electrifying and compelling to watch. Truly different level to those around you - and a personality to boot. Would it be a stretch to say you maybe saved athletics from heading down the plughole following a period when people were turning against it due to innumerable drug cheat medallists.
Anyway, you've put on a bit of timber by the looks of it so come join the rest of us on the sofa and crack open a cold one.

Re: World Athletics
Medals in all four relays (has that ever happened before?) drag GB up to 6th overall and meeting the medal target range.
A great championship in terms of crowd support and unpredictable races for sure, even if it's something of a transitional period for the sport in terms of star names and record breaking performances, along with the ongoing doping shadow over it all. Was a great atmosphere in the stadium when I went, just like in 2012, I doubt very much that Doha will provide the same!
