Third.

Went quick early but the winner got her at the 200.

What can you say about Winx?

That was an incredibly easy win.  Hartnell tried hard to finish second about 3 lengths behind her & then there was a long gap back to the rest who were talented horses but completely outclassed.

Is Hartnell the Hay List of the era? - would probably be a "great" if not for the chick beating them by as much as they are beating everyone else.

Snap.

Winx destroys them again in the $4m QEII. Hartnell second.

Lady Aurelia wins The King's Stand Stakes like a superstar. At last year's Royal Ascot she won the Queen Mary Stakes for two year old fillies by panels of fencing but raced a bit below that form later in the year in the Gp1 Cheveley Park Stakes. However, Wesley Ward revealed in an interview that she bled during that race. Undoubtedly she has now returned to her very best form.

Barney Roy wins the St James's Palace Stakes. The favourite Churchill ran below his best in finishing 4th. Barney Roy had previously ran second in the Two Thousand Guineas behind Churchill but raced very greenly on that occasion & stumbled at one stage. So it was no surprise to see him victorious today.

Bit disappointed in Mix and mingle. Ran a stunning race solo in Lingfield last month. Barely made an impression in the Duke of Cambridge stakes.

She would have been racing in the wrong section of the track & there was a question over whether she would be as effective over a mile as she was over seven furlongs.

Fair point. I don't think she's ever won over a mile, butdefinitely got a bit carried away by that performance last month.

All 4 of her wins have been over 7 furlongs but last year she did have a close second to Aljazzi (who ran 2nd in that race today) over a mile. However, Aljazzi's run today was easily the best of her career.

Agree both you and WW would be terrors on the remote.

I gave up tipping here after I was in Ireland when an Irish bred mare streeted the field in the Irish St Leger. She made the late great Red Cadeaux look like the sort of hack I would once ride.

Following her win she was bought by Australian interests and entered in Melbourne Cup. I tipped her and unfortunately JGK followed my tip to his subsequent disgust when she ran a poor race.

Big Orange scores a very popular win in the Ascot Gold Cup defeating Order Of St George by a nose. Big Orange has competed in the past two Melbourne Cups so he is well known here.
