Tomi Juric gets his 2nd (a lovely header from a cross) to restore the lead for Aus.

Aus have been dreadful and concede another goal just on HT. Lovely 3 touch play by the Saudis to level up.

This is the Aus side we know and hate. Poor ball control, poor passing and poor defending.

2-2 at Oranges. I hope Fat Ange revs the fark out of 'em.

Aus back in front (although still playing with no touch) through a lovely left foot drive by Tom Rogic, and then Aus have a dead set lay down misere penalty disallowed.

3-2 to Aus with 15 to play.

Aus were a bit better in the 2nd half but were still fortunate to secure the 3 points (3-2).

1-0 Aus early in the match.

Saudi's copping a lot of flak for snubbing the minute silence for the terrorist victims. They claim it was for 'cultural' reasons.
Obviously the culture of providing terrorists & their funding.

I missed that (Avoided the pre-match palaver). Pretty poor of the Saudis.

Did the crowd heckle them?

Not always against Saudi culture to pay tribute

Saudi club side paying silent tribute to the Chapecoense victims (Brazilian soccer club) last December

A late "sorry" from the Saudis

"Saudi Arabian football bosses have issued an "unreserved" apology after their players failed to properly observe a minute's silence in honour of London terror attack victims at last night's World Cup qualifier against the Socceroos in Adelaide.

When the stadium announcer called for a minute's silence to honour the victims of last weekend's attack, including Australian women Kirsty Boden and Sara Zelenak, the Socceroos on the field lined up at the centre circle with arms on their teammates' shoulders.

Their opponents from Saudi Arabia, however, milled about separately on the other side.

The team spread out to various parts of the field, with captain Osama Hawsawi appearing to call for them to stand still.

But, once the period of silence commenced, Hawsawi was apparently the only Saudi player not standing still.

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) said it "deeply regrets and unreservedly apologises for any offence caused" by the players' actions."

-------------------------------------

Under the circumstances one could be forgiven for thinking that the Saudi players thought "fark the infidel dogs".

No surprises after the abortion of a performance v Saudis. An errant pass intercepted and converted into the opening goal.

Still 1 - 0 at halftime. The Brazilian passes are usually perfectly weighted. On the other hand, the Australians struggle to find a teammate.

Aye. Dreadful touch, crap passing and panicky defending.

I thought Aus had improved but we seem to have regressed.
