Not good for Faulkner
Caught drink driving, he was three times over the limit and is likely to be suspended from the limited overs tour. He will face a court in Manchester in a few weeks.
Apologies if this has already been posted.

I guess he loses the excuse of drinking for each of his heads.

Never ... ever ... take on the Mancunian Constabulary.
They are the most obdurate and non-understanding lot.

Not drinking ... but speeding (70 mph in a 50 mph limit) on an open country road just
outside Manchester in broad daylight.
Not a car in sight, till I flashed past some bushes ... and there they were ... hiding and waiting!
Neee..naw ...neee...naw ... blue lights flashing, main beams flashing ...
"This in't bloody Silverstone, y'know"... was the kick-off line ...
Three points and £150 later ...

Re: Not good for Faulkner
As others have said, hopefully this will be a wake up call and thank goodness no one was hurt.
I always find that line terrifying, as it stands he is just an idiot and will get a hefty slap on the wrist.
But if someone runs in front of his car and dies, even if hypothetically he isn't to blame, then goes to prison for a good portion of his life.
Sobering thought.

I don't understand why any Richie Rich would bother to drive when they can afford bigtime taxi bills - even if there's the slightest hint that they'll be drinking. Doubt he'll try that swift one again.
Re: Not good for Faulkner
Good for him... seems very happy in the birthday photo with his partner and his mum.

Re: Not good for Faulkner
My 31 year old daughter refers to her best (girl) friend as her "wife" (who is married to a lovely bloke). My daughter is defo not gay.
People getting bent out of shape on behalf of gay folk need to get a life. I bet most gays wouldn't GAF about this
I do find it interesting, however, that a number of notable cricketers congratulated Fork for "coming out". You'd think they would already know if he's gay or not.

Re: Not good for Faulkner
Frommie, seeing MrK has gone to the trouble of lardating a thread with Fork's name in it, can you split everything after Mr Dog's post (bottom of preceding page) and merge it into the Faulkner thread??
Merci.

Well that's a stupid place to put it if there is already a Faulkner thread.
