It was Flashman's fault.

If he was the lowly captain they all blamed. Flashy wasn't too flash in that company. Probably couldn't find the couple of mil in today's money some of the problems paid for their commissions.

I'd argue he organized the cavalry charge very well, just not in the right direction.

I think Flashy was a colonel by that time.

He must be close to the last. At least of those depicted in the series.

Seems reports of his death were premature. He is still clinging to life after a serious heart attack.

Probably triggered yesterday when Tony Abbott said he was a fan.

Reports in our press suggest that he was found at his home unconscious and not breathing, and put on life support which seems likely to be turned off.

As I post this, nothing confirmed for certain by his family or publicity people/record company.

I'm devastated by this one.

I really need to increase my bucket list work rate.

RIP Tom. Only Bob and Jeff (and the sideburys) remain of the Wilburys now.

Have to say this one has hit me hard also, I loved his music from the early days. It's interesting that he only became Charlie T. Wilbury Jr by chance, as George Harrison had left a guitar at Tom's home, and asked him to join them when he called to collect it.

RIP Tom, you were one of the best, for me.

This is a very bad week. Doubt anyone here has heard of her (maybe Qmy), but I am devastated at the death of Anne Wiazemsky. Stunning actress and novelist.

RIP
