You think 16 wickets for 290 is bad?

Try 18 for 262! Smile

Well done Baz.

Maybe I should talk about Lancashire players more often. Two I praised, if with qualifications, have given the county an outside chance actually of winning vs Soms, after an unmitigatedly grisly first innings!

On the other hand ... Hameed .... :-O

ECB have given the go-ahead for the new City-based T20 tournament (henceforward to be known as BBL-Lite)

Lord knows where the new audience for this bollocks is going to come from.

Good to see Woody back though. (*) And Plunks.

(*) Will he ever become injury-free, though. His pace off that jerky, not so long run can't help.

It'll go off like a damp squib if they don't get halfway decent crowds.

Watched Handscomb bat today in a 50 over bunfight against Lancashire. Effective maybe, but there's something to work with for a 85+mph bowler with half a clue about swing bowling...

Meanwhile, Worcs. played four, won four

Aye Sneaky Pete's technique is odd, but he has the cold eyes of a dead fish. Seasick Steve survives his quaint technique.

By the way, go Pears!

Dirtbag to Dustcart, ...

but it's Batty who strangles Dustcart! And Dirtbag then does Wagoner!

Can Harmer yet do the damage? Amid the Saffer mayhem ...

Aye, it will give us a genuine spinning option - for a short time anyway. Something we haven't had for a good long while.

Nathan Lyon? That's like hiring a pickaxe when you've got a pneumatic drill sitting right next to you.

Personally, can't believe N'hants have got so many reject-non-reject fast bowlers. Good for us, for once, I suppose. Probably all on season-long loans or some shit, but whatevs, at least for once, we've got a relative battery to choose from.

Still shite, but let's cling onto some sort of hope.

If Lyon is a pick-axe, our homegrown spinners are cotton buds.

Lyon relies on bounce from hard pitches, which are not plentiful in Pomgolia.
