Well three out of the the last four Presidents have been draft dodging philanderers, something which I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. Adding golf cheat to that which would also include druggie and sexual predator seems so meh.

Yep. Some people hold the Dump's disregard for golf etiquette and blatant cheating in greater contempt than his other peccadillos.

Yeah Lucan wouldn't have gotten away with the help of friends if he'd been cheating at cards.

Generally find myself critical of Trump, but the author has to be commended on writing such a barely legible puff piece that I found myself a bit on his side. Who really gives a flying ****** about that...

No-one that's the point. It isn't fake news it's old news and whilst impeachable not worth the effort.

With the Masters here and the caustic nature of US politics right now, it's just like the cycling doping scandals that all come through one week before July....

Another couple of late nights/early mornings on the cards. Now if only the yank broadcasters would show more golf instead of going on like they were walking the Camino.

rofl. You are correct sir. One year I started to count the reverential comments made by the commentators about the course and 'tradition'. The count was ludicrous and I gave up when the coverage got to 'Amen Corner'.
Of course the course is beautiful. Yes, Monet would have painted masterpieces there. Yes, I'd love to hack around the joint.
But, many of the good old boy members come from families who built their wealth from slavery. I really loved Tiger's first wins there and the pressure applied on their no blacks policy. The useless commentators never raise that stuff.
So I will watch as usual and barrack against the filthy red necks like Fat Phil and Watson.

Yeah they called it Ike's Tree because to keep calling it after the name of the last kid who was lynched there was a touch off even for Georgia in the sixties.

The local Tory member for the Fed seat of Macmillan wants to change the name of the Seat. MacMillan slaughtered heaps of Aboriginal people in Gippsland. Of course this is PC madness - yes?

As Aus heads towards it's first annual budget surplus in a while, the US plummets towards a predicted annual budget deficit of...wait for it...over a US$Trillion. Yes, that's right, the Yanks will be increasing their gross debt to the World by over US$1000 Billion in this fiscal year.
Trump ay?? He's a quality national leader.
FMD.

$100m in the fifties when cold weather drilling and other tech wasn't so advanced would seem a bargain nowadays.

While the Side Show Bobs comprising the Dems nomination field battle away here is a useful article in Axios* looking ahead to what Putin et al will do in the 2020 election.

* For those who have not come across it, Axios is a most worthwhile news/analysis site. Stories are written in a pared back style. Aside from politics, it covers IT and finance news.

Seems the fire has finally caught in the Presidential dumpster. Would be great to see this toxic animal go to gaol and experience the rough end of the pineapple.

Is this fair dinkum?
"An Iranian politician has announced a $US3 million ($A4.4 million) reward for “anyone who kills” US President Donald Trump, according to the country’s semi-official ISNA news agency.
Ahmad Hamzeh told parliamentarians on Tuesday the offer was to avenge the assassination of top commander Major General Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US drone strike ordered by Mr Trump outside Baghdad airport on January 3.
“On behalf of people of Kerman province, we will pay $3 million award in cash to whoever kills Trump,” Mr Hamzeh, who represents Kahnouj county near the southeastern city of Kerman, was quoted as saying by ISNA.
Kerman was the hometown and final resting place of Soleimani, one of the most popular public figures in Iran."

Three mil seems a touch on the cheap side considering the cost of hiding for the rest of your life.

Greta might be tempted, the cash would help her campaign
The Yanks tried 200 times to assassinate Castro, apparently... it’s obviously a lot harder than it sounds to take out a major world leader, or they’d have succeeded with that one somewhere along the line, and more than two US presidents would have met that fate historically.
