Unchanged squad, in which case I'd drop Westley for Crane.

Not the way the selectors see it, clearly.
Is that an oxymoron?

The good news beyond Lord's is that, while Kolpak-rich Lancs are ceding the title to Essex on the sacred turf of OT, wickets scattering, there's this:
H Hameed (rhb) - 85*, 233b, 10x4, 1x6, SR: 36.48

A timely knock. Hameed puts a price on his wicket and will be needed to strengthen Pomgolian resolve on the Ashes Tour.

Will be barracking noisily for the Windies when I flick away from the AFL finals.

Cook dropped a dolly at slip earlier, fortunately only cost us 7 runs.

Just as things were swinging WI's way and I was starting to think Jimmy was the only one who looked like taking any wickets... Chef clings onto one off Toby LeRone and then a nice C&B from Stokes.

Yeah, why didn't we send nightwatchmen out there? Sacrifice the tailenders rather than hanging the under pressure top five out to dry?
Stokes typically found some resistance but has a tough job tomorrow to get us a meaningful lead.

Jebus, what carnage. Is it a juicy wicket? Or just conducive overhead conditions?

Overcast, gloomy, close damp air - ideal for swinging a ball.

Should be a result in this one. May go three days, but I'm not convinced.
