London police have raised the number of confirmed or presumed dead to 58 from the Grenfell Tower fire.

It includes the previously announced figure of 30, as well as some of the 600-odd residents who were in the building and are yet to be discovered or accounted for.

London's police commander Stuart Cundy confirmed the news, also suggesting the number could still yet rise.

"Sadly, at this time there are 58 people who we have been told were in the Grenfell Tower on the night that are missing," he said.

"Therefore, sadly, I have to assume that they are dead."

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/world/grenfell-tower-blaze-victims-poisoned-by-cyanide-gas-from-the-buildings-dodgy-burning-cladding/news-story/8af87ec18cb419743be8bede515ef87e

Ha. Originally I was sending a different article which suggested the cladding had failed tests and so opened up the possibility of litigation, but accidentally sent the one intended for a pilot friend.

The aforementioned does muddy the waters too. The investigation into this will surely go for years.

Quality cladding. Highly flammable AND gives off cyanide.

Just how the fark did the local council building departments approve such dangerous cladding material??? Kickbacks??
