Aye. At 260 in front the Bots could do with another 50 or 60. But you feel once this excellent stand is broken, it's all over Red Rover for the Bot innings.
Still, the target may already be tough.

Partnership broken. Waller falls to a crapulent ball and worse stroke with the lead at 299.
Cremer is not completely hopeless. A further 40 runs would serve them even better.

Now Sik Butt falls, bowled by Herath. Great ton.
Lead is 318.

Lead 350 at lunch. Cremer still going on with Tiripano at the other end. Both wickets that fell were a bit shit, though. Could've been an even better session.

Creamer already has a ton against SL. WTF is he batting at 9?

Have Sri Lanka really got THIS bad all of a sudden? Or have Zimbabwe suddenly got so much better? Hard to believe that basically the same Sri Lankan side that beat Australia just under a year ago is now getting hammered by Zimbabwe FFS.

Advantage is with Sri Lanka. Two days to make 387 should'nt be impossible. It all depends on Zimbots bowling.

Nobody. The true purpose of the post is to have a swipe at Australia ... it's Trev.

Last year, IIRC. They have plenty of mediocre batsmen, though. Understandable that he's so low.taipan wrote:tricycle wrote:Partnership broken. Waller falls to a crapulent ball and worse stroke with the lead at 299.

7 wickets or 218 runs. Could be a tight finish.

Sort of good looking match. Just seems that SL's decentish looking top 5 are pretty inconsistent.
Re: Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe, Only Test, Colombo (RPS), 14-18 July, 2017
Early wicket for Zimbabwe
I suspect the Dickwella - Cremer battle will be crucial to the outcome of this test.

Aye. This is real cricket. Not like that rubbish they have been playing in England recently.

Sri Lanka win by 4 wickets.
This is only third time in Tests that all four innings have been between 300 and 400.
highest successful chase in Sri Lanka, and the fifth-highest of all time.

Dickwella usually lives up to his name. That makes his performance and importance in this result more disappointing.
Nice example of his tititude
