And gets Moody first ball (the last ball of the over).
Now 9/222. Koo on a hattrick if he gets to bowl again.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
This round has pretty well knocked Cartwright and Mitchell Marsh out of calculations, firmed up the NSW attack as the 4 bowlers (with Bird the most likely 12th again), and cemented Khawaja's place if it were in any doubt.
Nevill may have done enough to leapfrog Wade, who has done everything possible to ensure his non-selection. Carey hasn't done enough to press his claim and Bancroft to keep would be a brave selection ...
The 6th batsman remains the most contentious position. Shaun Marsh has the runs on the board across all formats but one senses that there may be NTPFAA on his file, and an official one at that rather than just Horrie's fake. Jake Lehmann and Ferguson may have pressed sufficiently to get a look-in.
Renshaw is on thin ice but at the moment should be in.
My team at present:
RENSHAW
WARNER
KHAWAJA
SMITH
HANDSCOMB
S MARSH / FERGUSON / MAXWELL / CARTWRIGHT / LEHMANN
NEVILL / CAREY / BANCROFT
STARC
CUMMINS
HAZLEWOOD
LYON
BIRD (likely 12th)
I suppose choosing Bancroft as keeper/bastman would allow them to make Renshaw 12th, playing the 5 bowlers above, since none of the batsmen (or 'reserves') named above can bowl usefully.

Sounds like the bowlers are in great form but the batting still remains problematic.
Wade surely looks gone.

Two hat-tricks in a FC match ... last done by Tommy Matthews?

Well bugger me. He's done a Jimmy Matthews (v SAf at Old Trafford in 1912) and finished both innings with hattricks. Remarkable.
Go the mighty Spivs.

Stand corrected, Jimmy not Tommy.
However, I believe the second innings hat-trick by Jimmy/Tommy did not not finish the Saffie innings (the first innings hat-trick did).

Take a picture, Spivs lead the Shield table on 15.12 points from the Banjos on 14 points. I don't expect this to be the status quo.

In the SA second innings Matthews took wickets 6, 7, and 8 ... leaving 9 and 10 for others.

Ward was his last victim on each occasion.

Yeah, you're correct. Matthews finished the 1st innings with his 1st hattrick then took wickets 6, 7 and 8 in the 2nd innings for his 2nd hattrick.
Ah, I see you've researched it too.

Kelleway had a pretty decent game! A century as opener and a 5 wicket haul in the second innings.

at least the Vics are off the bottom of the Shield table. Still a long way off the pace, it seems.

Worse. Like Bruce Reid, but without the streaks of success between injuries.

3 years ago (15 & 22 Nov 2014) I umpired a second grade game between Subi Floreat and South Perth
Andrew Holder opened the batting for Subi Floreat. He bowled 11 wicketless overs in the second innings without being threatening
Today ....he debuts for WA as a fast bowler.....

They've both gotta go. A Test match is no place to be allowing batsmen to find form.
