Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XIII)
Meanwhile Jenny Macklin pulls the pin. A bloody decent hard worker who achieved heaps in social policy areas, inc NDIS, parental leave etc.
The quality of public policy will be diminished by her absence.

An old friend S and among the most decent and workaholic and creative people I know.
As a mate I and many others have unsuccessfully tried to persuade her to pull the pin.
She has a wonderful grandchild and I want her to savour the fun of grannie dom..
Delighted you did not slag her off. Oz public life is desperate for decent people. I exclude the Greens and the lunar right, inc the fascist Davidinhisownlunchbox, Bernardi and Erics ANazi.

Pinkos would be unbeatable if Albo was the boss. Shorten is the Libs only hope of winning the next election.

Yep. They need to keep the MM quiet somehow
Speaking of the extra terrestrials, they seem to have had some success muzzling Erics Anazi..
Top end Truffles was the key to the brownies getting over the line at the last election. Expect they are strategising on how to gag the MM ahead of the next election.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XIII)
TLA and myself went to a Town Hall meeting with Bill Shorten last month
TLA is a long time pinko voter ....her impression of seeing Bill in action in a room full of true believers was that he was a slimy piece of crap
He spoke well and said lots of good things ....but less substance than a ghost's fart
He'll only get elected if the middle ground are sick of Mehlcolm ...and they probably are

Both sides can pick morons. Felt sorry for the NSW Premier having to deal with the Member for Wagga Wagga who was on the take.skully wrote:Looks like the Coalition has farked up in Longman. Their candidate Trevor Somesuch has been caught out bullshitting about molitary awards. Sigh.

He got the name of his medal wrong (he did serve in the Military). That said, if you can't get the name of something that is, presumably, a source of great personal pride right, WTF are you doing representing 80,000 constituents in Parliament?
