Australia XI: David Warner, Cameron Bancroft, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith (c), Peter Handscomb, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine (wk), Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood
No Show has been called into the squad in case the westy nobs sore neck gets worse.

NoShow??? Why wouldn't they just put Wrench on standby? At least he's an opener, FFS.

Apparently* he's in such shit form that a failed non-opener like Marsh is preferred.

Now it seems Bog has crocked himself so it looks like no show might get a run. Makes no difference, they are equally as shyte.
Re: Australia v England, 1st Test, Brisbane, 23-27 November, 2017
Interestiong that Haigh commented on the folly of Marsh's selection partly in relation to ongoing injuries. With the back flaring again, he might be vindicated with those remarks.
Maxwell has two opportunities to play so if Marsh is passed fit but Warner not, would bog be risked as opener?

Stiff back for Bog. At least it wasn't one of his snappy twig hamstrings.

So like his sibling, the gossamer heartstring is playing up. Guess he does not want to achieve a similar record as Mug Marsh.

Don't fancy the BT sport line up. Vaughan - sporting some dodgy new dentures - Ponting, Gilly and Boycott, anchored by charmless nomark Matt Smith.
Urgh. Off to a bad start.

If I’m honest, I’ve kind of stepped back a bit from cricket over the last 2-3 months, but by f*ck, I’ve still got that nervous anticipation feeling in my stomach this morning that only occurs at the start of an ashes series! Thank Christ for that. It means I still care as much as I ever did about this great game. Bring it on.
