I see Agar has had a whinge about not being selected. Apparently* he actually got a call from the selectors explaining why he was not selected. (sorry Chad if you came from WA or NSW you would have got a call - even Reeks FFS and Bolly got calls from Kjnr)

The NSP explained they wanted a specialist spinner. Agar said he is both specialist spinner and all rounder. Clearly Agar does not consider his inability to take bags of wickets a problem.

Confidence is one thing, hubris another. Agar once seemed a likeable young man with a bit of talent. He now seems to be angling to be a third Marsh. Time he moved to another State for character reconstruction and some decent coaching.

Look I am as disappointed as you that Agar has shown himself to be a tool.

His claims as a spin bowler are limited at the moment. He is not within a bull's roar of Holland. Who knows he may improve. Perhaps he could begin by acknowledging the need for improvement..

Doom called up for injured Bird

"South Australia paceman Chadd Sayers is a late addition to Australia's touring party for the South Africa Test series, after fellow quick Jackson Bird was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Bird injured his hamstring on Saturday, during Tasmania's Sheffield Shield clash with Queensland in Brisbane, leaving the field immediately after pulling up sore from a delivery, and is expected to be sidelined for the next two to three weeks.

Australia head coach Darren Lehmann said yesterday the back-up paceman, who most recently played the fourth Ashes Test, would undergo a medical assessment, and today, skipper Steve Smith confirmed the withdrawal of the 31-year-old."

I wonder if he got a call or saw it on Twitter?

The one thing CA has is that it is not Oz Soccer. Oz soccer gets coverage in inverse proportion to its quality. The standard is woeful, the administration is worse. David Gallup having been a disaster as CEO of the NRL, has brought his incompetence to the table and doubled it.

Fans don't go, ratings are poor and the standard is execrable. Even FIFA is appalled.

Sutherland, Cracker and Pat Howard look like geniacs by comparison. (tho Kjnr still looks an overrated SGDT.
