Shirley if Elmer was fined for dropping the ball near ABdV (FFS) then Rabada is for the high jump?

Should at least be fined for his send off, will be lucky if he isn't suspended.lardbucket wrote:Any query of Rabada?

Just announced on Foxy that Rabada has been charged with a level 2 offence for physical contact on Smith.
That is gonna cost him 2 games, you'd reckon.

Something's lacking. Really need Red to tell me how the match is poised and what we can expect by the end of the day.

Very slow going. Apparently Rabada will challenge on the basis that contact his accidental but don't like his chances. When you're on the edge of demerit points, surely his actions are foolhardy.
Been an attritional day but the new ball is not that far away. Perhaps the bowlers might make inroads then. Pitch looking conducive to batting atm, but once SA lose one or two they can fall like a pack of cards. Certainly they have been gritty though.

Meanwhile CSA has apologised for the masks worn by officials and fans.

Warner is a ranga with short man syndrome, but Rabada has anger management issues.

Both coaching crews should receive suspensions for targeting.
Seems like it was a terrific day's cricket. Tight bowling and determined batting.Â
Advantage is clearly with the Yarps. It seems ABdV is on a mission.Â
Hope any wise heads around calm down the obvious tensions.

Some late wickets to Aus dragged them back in the game.
Obviously ABdV holds the key, if Aus can get him out early then can restrict Saf to a small lead.

Fairish comeback by Aus after Tea (I endured the wicketless middle session).
AbdV seems to have all the scoring in the final session.
Quick wickets tonight and we might still be in it.

Hey! Take it easy greasy. They had the paddles ready to jump start me when the Hollow Man filled in his big toe with two late wickets. Happily nurse gave me a dose of "EndsOne" and I slept through the radio broadcast.

Notice a bit of a stinkette brewing over ball tampering: DD seen wearing a bandage on his hand (which makes him look like he tried to test how hot the stove was by sticking said hand on it) so as not to transfer his sweat onto the wrong side ball while polishing it to aid reverse swing.
Big whoop I say. If Oz are happy to let a bloke field in an oven glove, the Saf attitude should be, let the dopey little bastard get on with it and just make sure you're nowhere near Boof or Tweek the first time he muffs a catch.

Late wickets put Australia ahead with the home team having to bat last. AB batting so well again must make SA rue that costly run out in the first test.
Brittle underbelly of the Proteas batting was exposed again.
With Rabada missing the last two test the series could be decided here.
AB is still there but there is only Philander and Maharaj because Ngidi can't bat at all.
Think SA had to get a lead of 100 plus to be in with a big show.
Smith is due for massive runs and could be the difference in the second innings.
Arguably Amla and Elgar did their team no favours by batting so slowly and putting even a lead in doubt. Surely they can push it on a bit at times. The Aussie bowling was tight though and does not leak boundaries as critically as the hosts, except perhaps when ABDV gets going.
The other significant issue for SA is letting the last wicket partnership score so many runs. That could well prove the difference.
The new ball is only five overs old and one wouldn't expect the hosts to last much longer.

I see the officials finally stopped that fu*king awful brass band that continued playing even as the bowler was in his runup. I hope it is'nt replaced by a fu*king Vuvuzela band.

BTW, while Steve Smith is clearly the superior batsman on stats etc, I would probably much prefer to watch ABDV. He really is a class act.

Really off the mark here, R. Just about every paragraph is wrong.
Aus currently trail by nearly 130 after ABdV has added over 200 with the lower order. Add to that the 47 Rabada put on with Elgar and we have been screwed by ABdV + tail.
I expect us to fold like a deck of cards in I2 even though the wicket looks benign.
Class knock by ABdV.
