Up all night and watched the Poirots mighty comeback v the little Nippers. Some good goals.

Don't hate them just feel sorry for them. Not enough to have them as my second team but if Belgium in all likelihood get eliminated I guess rooting for the poms is acceptable.

I don't hate England, in fact I'd be very happy for the players (lots of Man U ones) if they win.

It's the insufferability from the fans that I am dreading.

Think the only time Id barrack for the Pomgolians is if they were playing the ham acting Italians. That's not happening this WC.

The one thing I also liked in Poirots v Nippers was the near absence of diving.


This made the game far more watchable. Doling out a few red cards for outrageous diving would make soccer a better game.

Neymar's sideline theatrics v Mexico were an abomination. Geez i hope he gets carded for overacting.

We’ve struggled to beat them over the years, the Turnip match the most memorable example. They’re certainly not a star-studded side these days but one who are tough to break down, and it could be a frustrating game for us.

I cannot begin to adequately describe the feeling when that last penalty went in on Tuesday. I was too young to remember 1990 but I remember 1996 very well (my twelve year old self shouting "SOUTHGATE YOU C*NT") and every heart ache since then. 20+ years of hurt released in that one moment. Even if we go out to Sweden that was the best moment as an England fan since we beat Argentina in 2002, might even top it. It was worth them scoring the equaliser just to have that moment.

Southgate managing as well.

Two days later and I'm still buzzing, absolutely magical. Curse of ITV broken too.

Best chance to make the final since 1990.
