Aye. It would be good to have 12 months without a Smith, Jones, Rabada, Du Flexible or Stokes. Add ecoli and Pig Stokes and cricket could be on the up.

******* CONTROVERSY *********

The Sri Lankans have been charged with altering the condition of the ball yesterday & 5 penalty runs given to the Windies.

Sri Lanka protesting the decision.

Bit of friction!

44.5
Kumara to Smith, no run, another short ball, Smith gets under it. Dickwella jumps and does well to gather it. Smith walks out for some gardening and Dickwella flings it towards the stumps and then appeals. Gould has a chat with him and rules the ball to have been dead by the time Smith strode out

44.6
Now Smith pulls out at the last moment, right before Kumara is about to deliver the ball. Aleem Dar tells him off. All sorts of things happening here.

Life was so much easier for Sri Lanka when the ICC just allowed them to chuck

I'm sure one of their fielders has a birth defect that causes his fingernails to grow into sharp points and an accompanying nervous twitch that causes him to scratch one side of the ball

Shannon Gabriel - 5/59 & 8/62

He is certainly the spearhead of the Windies attack these days.

Bad light finishes it. WI go to Barbados 1-0.

Hopefully Chandimal will be banned for at least one Test.
