Start of our Indian summer... can we keep up the momentum after comprehensively sanding down the Aussies?

Glad they are getting this stuff out of the way. Much prefer the proper stuff to tail end a summer. 2005 was great for that, the ODI series really whet the appetite before the main course.

Stokes has his thug equivalent in Stones in the Pomgolian soccer team.

I'm guessing the World Cup relegates this series to "who cares" status.

Well, we lost... good catch by Jordan. Good weekend for English Jordans on the whole (not sure if Katie Price is included?)

We seem to be at the crazy point in time where you need centuries to win a JAMITT, and a brisk 60 and a few cameos won’t cut it even in this format. Scores that were once half competitive in 50 over cricket are now required in 20!

We must avoid dustbowls when cricket comes home next summer... surely it will be a typical changeable English summer though, we don’t get two like this in a row (did someone say “London buses”?)

Seems like Dhoni did a bit of a Gavaskar there in making little attempt to try and win the game after they had lost early wickets, resulting in a bit of booing from the crowd at one stage. Strangely enough they had referenced that episode on the radio earlier on while England were still batting, in reference to England’s top ODI scores v India...

Good effort from Davey Dick alongside Root to get us well over 300 after the middle order stumbled again. But a strange second half for everyone really.

Barring any clusterf*ck we should be home comfortably in this one meaning we have won 2 out of 3 without breaking a sweat. But the one we lost (convincingly) perfectly illustrates why we won't win the world cup. Too many off days and we will be caught out at least once during the knockout stages.

Nice one Root, boundary to get a 100 off the last ball (after a wide the previous delivery, thought there was going to be some poor sportsmanship for a moment).
