If Warringah is like the rest of the nation, a third of the votes will be pre-poll and will have to be counted to confirm the result.

Pre-polls are counted at the same time, the ordinary votes at any rate, so the count on the night will be up to date that way. The higher number of declaration(absentee) votes may mean a longer than normal wait in a tight race.
