Re: ICC rankings
Speaking of failures, I checked up on the fateful 2015 Ashes as I remembered it as a 3-1 loss to Aus.
We in fact managed 3-2 loss after a big win in T5 at The Oval. But one thing that stood out was the appalling form of Michael Clarke. 5 Tests, 9 inns, 132 runs, HS 38, av 16.50. He started the series with a Test average of 50.79 and ended it and his career at 49.10. Perhaps if he had done better we may have been more competitive. It's funny how the memory blocks out the bad stuff.
He tailed off as badly, if not as long, as Punter.

Re: ICC rankings
Well time will tell as they say and it looks like i am the only one that sees Australia as favourites, which is cool. In my view though (which is why my lad is doing everything he can to be a batsman who can throw a few down in a crisis) a fast bowler put's unreal stress though his body and how many overs have our top 2 sent down over time? More injury prone at their age and less pace, but hey we will see and i'm going to 3 of the games this time.

Re: ICC rankings
Congrats to Pat Cummins on moving to No. 1 in the ICC bowling rankings. A testament to his hard work and dedication to overcome back injuries.
He's the first Aussie since Pidge in 2006 to reach the pinnacle.

Nice quizzes.
Though they didn't like the way I spelled 'de Villiers' or "cheating boggle-eyed runt"
