Yeah, has to cast doubt on Joe Clarke’s England credentials as well. I had mixed views on Notts signing him on the basis of what came out of this case.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore was part of the same Whatsapp groups. He was also culled from the Lions tour. I said this at the time, but good luck to Notts having both Duckett and Clarke on their books - bessie mates and peas from the same pod.

A bit like the Surrey twat pack that ended up in a different kind of tragedy a few years back. That side broke up and a few of them sunk without trace, though Jason Roy eventually came through as a white-ball England regular.

First century in three years for Hameed. Hopefully he can build on it, at least the absence of May Tests this year means there won’t be the pressure to rush him back into the England fold.

Trescothick to retire at the age of 43. Has struggled for form the last season or two and now dropped to second XI, but a remarkably durable county career to contrast with his international tenure that was sadly cut short. He could have set plenty of England run-scoring records in all formats had things worked out differently (and perhaps delayed the emergence of Cook, who went on to set those records in the longer game).

Hope he finds a fulfilling post-cricket career, anyway.

I'm trying to work out which is the home county at the match in Sedbergh.

Though the match is in a sort of NWYorkshire part of Cumbria, it's a bit far from Durham's centres.
