The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
It all starts again on Monday 20th.
As a taster, Murray v Tsonga in the postponed Men's Final at Queens. Not sure which way that will go. Will the plucky, talented Brit triumph, or the useless, miserable Scot slump?

Rafa in a Murray / Tsonga match? He's good, but he's not that good.

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
It wouldn't be a tennis thread without me saying "Tennis - call yourself a sport?".
Having said that, was up at the dear ol' Mum's place over this long weekend and she was telling me that a friend of hers was badgering her to spend some of her life savings and go to Paris with her (no, her friend is not a 70 year old lezzy ). We started to talk about my desires to see the UK and also to duck across the Froggieville for a week or so, whenever the trip happens.
As much as I hate tennis, I guess I couldn't go all the way to England and not have a day of strawberries and champagne at the All England Club, if I was over there at this time of year. What's it cost for a day on centre court these days (non-Finals rounds)?

Snobby qunts:
"The majority of tickets for The Championships are allocated through the Public Ballot. The closing date for applying for the 2011 Public Ballot has now passed."
Prices in week 1 for the centre courts start at £38 and go up to £58.

Outside courts shouldn't be a problem. As I am one of the few people here who has actually been on centre court for a match.
