Dammit.
Finally got around to watching this. Totally bewildering plot & storyline with a lot of 'liberties' being taken with the history & genre of both characters. Not suprised the reviews were crap.
I fell asleep watching the Fantastic Four reboot. Does that count?

No arguments with No 1 with the delightful Naomi Watts getting her cans and more out.

Haven't see that yet, JGK, and wasn't interested until your extra information provided.
'There Will Be Blood' was outstanding. No tits though.

On the recommendation of a nephew I watched a couple of horror movies recently - The Babadook, and Mama. Both were OK, with a few jump scares.

Also saw this recently (Synge Street) and I thought it was good. Liked the girl in it, and the story of dreams, rebellion and redemption, whilst a little predictable, was enjoyable. The music was better than expected.

Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
Saw Hacksaw Ridge last week. Once you get used to seeing Spiderman as a conscientious objector the story flows pretty well. All in all a pretty good movie but be warned, the battle scenes are very graphic. Don't go if you have a weak stomach. Hugo Weaving was particularly good as the war damaged father.
Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
I thought Captain America - Civil War was pretty good. Finally got to see The Usual Suspects (allegedly a 90s classic - Keyser Soze and all) but thought it ordinary. Saw some decent movies on the flight over - Lights Out (horror) and Joy (with the delectable J-Law) were OK.

Great film. Supreme lesbo scene. I chubbed up.
Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
That was a very disturbing brief movie featuring two serial killers on Channel 9 this morning; a series of hapless innocents were slain.

They had something similar on DSTv 202 this morning but I thought it was a black comedy.

Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
Saw Fantastic Beasts yesterday. Movie started well but then got lost in its own storyline. Lack of character development left you feeling you missed something. Too much CGI left me feeling underwhelmed somehow. Not a patch on Harry Potter. Disappointing movie.
Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
Watched 'The Shallows' today. Filmed in Australia & Lord Howe Island. Something of a 'poor mans Jaws' but it managed to create some tension & holds your interest.

Not seen it and nor will I, but it sounds as though Hacksaw Ridge is a great film..
