India not happy with financial model voted for by ICC full members
" Amitabh Choudhary, the BCCI's acting secretary, has said the $400 million offer the ICC has left on the table is not "anywhere even close" to the Indian board's contribution to global cricket revenues. Choudhary contended that the Indian market contributed 70 % of the global cricket revenue and that it was natural for India to get the lion's share.
Under the ICC's new finance model, the BCCI's share of ICC revenues across the 2015-23 cycle stands at $293 million. That share is based on the ICC's projected income of $2.7 billion. While the BCCI wanted $570 million in accordance with its revenue percentage under the previous Big Three finance model, ICC chairman Shashank Manohar made a counter-offer of an additional $100 million to bring the BCCI's share to nearly $400 million.
During the ICC meetings last week in Dubai, Manohar placed that offer in person to Choudhary, which the BCCI rejected. The offer was once again made to Choudhary when he sat as the BCCI representative in the ICC Board meeting that eventually passed a new constitution, a new governance structure and the new finance model.
While the ICC constitution comprising the governance structure will be ratified at the ICC annual conference, the revenue model will be approved by the ICC Board separately. "Because it is far less than what India deserves fairly," Choudhary told the Indian Express, when asked why he did not agree to the settlement deal. "

Shame. Nothing should, and hopefully, nothing will come off this posturing. As much as India holds the revenue, the Indian boards needs international events. No way they'll pull out of the CT.
Also, I'd much rather the Supreme court didn't waste away on the board as much as they are now. Some good bits came through, but it was always a case of overreach.

Even if this lament gets shouted out from the rooftops in seething anger, with the intention of awakening the inner Sunny Deol of a cricket fan, it will remain an alternative fact. That’s because the figures that get tossed around during the ICC vs BCCI revenue-sharing debates need to be taken with a pinch of salt. When arguments are laced with the angst of a fan and the anger of ultra-nationalists, numbers often get overlooked and thus go unchecked. Remember these are times when truth and reality aren’t the twins they once were. Truth, of late, looks and sounds different, it is whatever the powerful — in this case, a few in the BCCI — choose to believe. Reality, meanwhile, remains hidden, sometimes for so long that it becomes inconsequential.

Fair point. It is very long winded. But it's an op-ed. I have come to expect a fair bit of written English guff in them.

Hmm, I'd hoped Dudeley McNewChairman would have a more generous and altruistic influence on the greed brigade, but by the looks of it, nothing has changed. I'm sort of out of the loop of your day-to-day information, but not in a foggot-style JKLever sort of way.

Think yourself lucky. NZ were only given their 1st test by Aus in 1946 and then had to wait 28 years for their 2nd.
