Post by DJ_Smerk on Tue 04 May 2010, 14:00

Looks like he's tried bashing every Australian under the sun in the past 24 hours.

No sign of merls this UK morning. Maybe he's chained himself to some rails in advance protest about the election result.

Still here ... lurking ... and leering ... and leching ... and watchful ...and ever so wary of your prickly barbs ... ouch!

The Uk's election's a fore-gawn conclusion mate.
Dun and dusted for Boy David.

Steady on old bean. A Brown-Hitler comparison is a tad harsh.

Broon hasn't murdered six million Tories, for a start.

I'm sure Merlos tongue was firmly wedged in his cheek Peter.

I suspect poor old Gordon feels under siege, the awful realisation that the end is nigh - and that he's being overtaken by events he has no control over .... much like Hitler must have felt in April 1945 ... hence the bunker reference. Thats how I read it anyway.

Mr Brown is absolutely right to stay in number 10 for a while yet, while the Tories & LibDems come to an agreement - whether formal coalition or "understanding". As and when Messrs Cameron and Clegg formally announce that between them, they will be able to carry a vote in the house, then Gordon will resign with grace. He will not want the humiliation of a queens speech voted down, thus forcing him out.

... Broon hasn't murdered six million Tories, for a start....

No he hasn't ... but I'm sure as hell he would have liked to last Thursday night!

Aye, as Growls correctly points out, my tongue was firmly lodged in cheek Petey ... but then, I wouldn't have expected a losing NuLabourite to have picked up on the mirth expressed! Wink

Still .... the way Cleggie and his cohorts dither over joining up with the Tories to form a stable government - their demands for PR far outweighing their alleged concern for the country's perilous economic state (as I predicted they would) - it seems that Brown might still get a crack at the reins as Cleggie considers calling round to No 10 to get all his wishes and demands granted by a desperate bunker survivor!

Ho hum .... Nothing changes in the "desperate measures" stakes .....

Has Merls ever been on the rails?

Maybe if Michael Vaughan took over as PM he would finally descend into the impending, gibbering madness that he's been hinting at all these years?
