STORY

Far be it from me to cast aspersions but that time period coincides with Lardy's move to Tozzieville

RD, as horrie could have told you ... chlamydia afflicts koalas. The rise in cases coincides with the pensioning off of two notable koalas

My birthday is always tinged with that sadness now.

However, there are always others worse off ...

A friend (now deceased) who had previously enjoyed many birthdays told me that they were spoiled forever after his birthday on 11/09/2001.

At least he got one birthday in in the new millennium before it went pear-shaped...

I found out within 30 mins after it happened...the ABC were showing When We Were Kings (coincidentally also on Foxtel when we heard about Orlando) and the news cut in about an hour in, just as Howard Cosell was telling the world Ali had Buckley's chance. It was well before midnight, probably before 11.

I was watching it live including the second plane in the background during an interview where the speaker was saying "this is probably just an accident by a trainee pilot".

A mad mad night.

I was at a Company conference in North Carolina, when someone came in and said a tower had been hit. Seems like seconds later we heard about the second tower. One of the U.S. Girls there had a brother working in the WTC.
