Roll up, roll up. Bet you boys & girls can hardly wait for this one.

Will the Bangles finally win a match against England?

Got to be a chance, Swann & KP will sit the 3 match series out to be replaced by Trott and farking Tredwell (figures of 0-180 in 22 overs v India A ) FFS

I guess worth watching for Tamim.

Lordy, talk about a plethora of cricket on TV. Not only is our local cable Foxy showing this match but also the T20 domestic stuff from England. Tonight we get Leics v Worcs.

This would have been such a good opportunity to give Rashid another run out. It really defies belief that England have gone with Tredwell ahead of him. It's like the selectors feel they have to pick a sh!t county spinner now and then just to remind themselves of the bad old days of the 90s, and to reassure people around the world that bald, younger than they look, out of their depth county pros can still get a look in for England and make cricket fans around the world laugh.

"Yeah, don't worry everyone. We're still not quite the real deal."

Jesus, that was swift.
She was only diagnosed last year with motor neurone disease ... and both father and son discussed it on air during a lunch break in the 2nd Bangles test a few weeks ago - saying how positive they were long term.

Nasty, nasty gear, that motor neurone disease. I worked with a guy who went from diagnosed to barely-being-able-to-blink to dead in under 12 months. Very sad to watch as it unfolded.

RIP to Mrs "Broad".

Commiserations to the Broad family.

This series will be a cakewalk. Foregone conclusion; get Iqbal Tamim and the rest will crumble.

But they are more competitive. Anyhoo - Bangla boys win the toss and bat

Bell is back, Tredwell (Double FFS) gets a cap.

According to Jonathan Agnew on TMS or ODIS on the radio it was Mrs Broad's wish that Stuart should play today. Let's also not forget Gemma Broad, Stuart's sister and Mrs Broad's stepdaughter, who is part of the England setup and will be at the game as well.

Bresnan and Tredwell- Complete passengers. Amazing that we still manage to be the form side in world cricket at the moment.

This has been the most complacent start from England since the word complacent was invented.

Sad to hear of Stuart's mum, and for the whole family.

There's no pleasant way to go, but hopeless sudden decline, and also the dashed hopes of the family.... very sad.

Tredwell was a weak as piss selection, a non threatening spinner to join seemingly a non-wicket taking opening bowler in Bresnan (who should be first change)

Seriously? Broad, a 'who will turn up' Jimmykins 'non-wicket taking' Bresnan as the only front line bowlers?

When you have Yardy in the side as non-threatening dart bowler why the hell do you pick another non-threatening spinner?

Incredible complacency + shoite selection is going to = defeat
