Wrong thread; despite the title it isn't about Carlton or St George.

Surely season five will be The Walking Dead's last?
Bill Hicks will solve everything. Or they'll all die. Could go either way.

Re: The Walking Dead
Unlikely - this season the ratings continued to beat the previous season's record breaking ratings. 15.7 million in the US alone - 10.2 million in 18-49 age range most coveted by commercial television: the largest 18-49 audience of any non-sports show on any network this "season".
AMC will milk this cash cow for all it's worth - it's the dream ticket: they've managed to cut the budget every season yet increase the ratings.
And I don't think they're anywhere near to catching up the comic timeline, so there's plenty of source material to keep mining.
The endless loop of wandering through the forest, rummaging through abandoned houses and seemingly finding sanctuary, only for the inhumanity of humanity to ruin it for everyone will continue unabashed for a few more years. Seven seasons, is my guess.

Plus it was actually pretty good, despite all the snotty girlish sobs on here saying different.

Brass Monkey wrote:Yeah, I thought it left it in an intriguing, can't-wait-to-see kind of way, personally. Predictable or not.
Saw a minor character from TWD in another show and cast my mind to the S4 Finale, and be buggered if I could remember any of it or where things finished up (which would explain the lack of my usual review for S04E16 - which I find are handy recaps if I need to refresh my memory). So I just watched it again. I remembered seeing bits and pieces but I was clearly well scatterbrained at the time in the wake of recent personal happenings.
I'm with Dan, I thought it was a good Finale, and finished with an intriguing cliffhanger. Bring on S5.

Well, you know what Dello is like - as acerbic as Mean Girls when it comes to any bit of TV ever.
Re: The Walking Dead
Aye, he needs wall-to-wall "Sweet Jesus" scenes to even stir him from his "meh" slumber.

Aye, I saw that. Massive stretch to use "Walking Dead Actor" in the article title. She played a zombie FFS.

Re: The Walking Dead
TVLine is reporting that AMC has approved a Walking Dead spin-off pilot episode that will primarily chronicle how others are dealing with the same zombie apocalypse that our favourite characters are.
The same Walking Dead creative team including Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert will executive-produce the project. TWD co-creator Dave Erickson will serve as show runner.
“Almost from the beginning of The Walking Dead on AMC, fans have been curious about what is going on in the zombie apocalypse in other parts of the world,” said AMC President Charlie Collier in a statement. “Beyond requests for zombie cameos, it’s the question I get asked the most. Obviously, we all take our stewardship of the original franchise incredibly seriously and we, along with Robert, Gale, David and now Dave, are all proceeding with extreme care in order to ensure that we are offering fans something truly compelling, engaging and distinct. We’re thrilled to be taking this next step with these remarkable partners.”

She's done amazingly well to make it to S5 when her only survival skill appears to be breaking into song. The actress has also never been listed as a series regular - always a guest star - which makes her longevity even more surprising.
S5 she's a gonner. I can feel it my bones. This is her time.
Re: The Walking Dead
And just when she was flowering into a potential babe. Those sweaty southern climate T-shirts can get awful clingy on newbie boobies. D'oh.

Re: The Walking Dead
Boobies are wasted on AMC. Sure, they'll happily broadcast horrific, bloody violence, but they draw the line at boobies.
And the f-word.
True story, the final line of S4 was "they're f*cking with the wrong people" (as it apparently is in the comics) and Andrew Lincoln (Rick) used it in every take except one, when "screwing" was used instead. The network didn't want to risk upsetting their advertisers by dropping the f-bomb and insisted that they play it safe and use the solitary, sanitised take.
Americans.

Yes, that's how it is in the comics. It's a deleted scene on the DVD/Blu Ray.
