Anyway:
- Spoiler:
Having had a bit of a look around the internet, the prevailing opinion is that the show is going to pull a fast one and have Glenn somehow survive. Eagle-eyed viewers think they saw him sort of scoot under the dumpster during the final shot from above of the herd overwhelming him and Nicholas (whose guts were the ones they were really eating).
It'd be a hell of a cop out - and how is going to survive under the dumpster anyway, given that he's totally surrounded by hundreds of Walkers on all sides? Are they just going to eat Nicholas and lose interest? Sounds bullshitty to me.
I went back and had a look at said scene...
- Spoiler:
- On the plus side, no blood spewed from Glenn's mouth, which seems a common symptom of having your guts ripped out i.e. maybe they weren't his guts. On the negative side, the shufflers seemed to be pawing at his grey shirt, not Nick's beige coat. And I watched the "walkers envelop Glenn" bit several times and there's no indication that he scuttled under the dumpster. It's feasible that he does and covered in dead Nick's blood (ala Michonne's camouflage) then perhaps the walkers may leave him be.
I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see Maggie's squeeze escaping this one.

Hmmm. Just read an interview with Greg Nicotero where he said the scene was filmed with the very specific intention of keeping the audience guessing and speculating.
There's no need to leave the fate of a character deliberately ambiguous unless the intention is to bring them back.
- Spoiler:
- Also, there are some pictures of Glenn on the set in future episodes - although they could be flashbacks, or strategically posed and released stills to keep the hype train powering onwards. We'll see. Maybe not for a while, though, as it really does look like they're going to devote a whole episode to Morgan's journey of stick waggling and pussying about.

Shirley that has to be a storyline at some point? I miss the sexual tension between them. It would be amusing to see a bad-breathed, stinky tongue kiss between them.

I think Daryl suffered some hillbilly lovin' at the hands of his father. Dunno whether that turned him gay though.

Re: The Walking Dead
S06E04 - Predictable-ish Morgan retrospective.
- Spoiler:
- As Morgan tells a captured Wolf (he didn't kill him in Ep 2 as I thought) about his past, in THEN mode we see how he came to meet an Atlanta psychiatrist named Eastman, who taught him the art of martial arts and the lesson of not to kill.
Can't help to think "thou shall not kill" will bite either him or one (or all) of the A-team in the arse sooner or later.
This is a Rick-lite season. Next ep seems to revolve around Maggie, Carl and the Alexandrians. So it looks like we have to wait to learn the fate of Rick and Glenn.

- wild speculation on my part:
- Is Morgan next to die? They did a long backstory type episode for Beth last season and then she snuffed it. Plus they have that new black guy with the dreads now.

Re: The Walking Dead
90 minutes of The Karate Kid, ending up with a rehash of last season's plot where Tyreese spared a Hunter, which ultimately ended up with Bob on the barbecue.
Total filler, I'm afraid - and looking further ahead, a predictable sting in the tail.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- so there's possibly a sewer entrance under the dumpster where Glenn was. Is that what I'm supposed to think? and how did Rick get out of that van? I guess he "could" have blown up the fuel tank

Re: The Walking Dead
S06E05 - Meh
- Spoiler:
- Good point, Nath. Still, I'm expecting the next sighting of Glenn to be as a walker.
A pretty tedious Alexandria-based ep, with Rick miraculously running from the near-surrounded van to the gate of Alexandria.
Then we had Deanna walking around like a zombie but finally killing a walker and "getting" Rick's point of having to fight for your own survival. Her son may have topped himself on top of a guard tower (blood dripping on inside of wall at end of ep.)
Maggie and Aaron wander off in a sewer under the walls to look for Glenn, but stop at the exit (which is surrounded by walkers) when Maggie realises that Glenn stopped here going "out" because of her pregnancy. She seems to think he may be dead, but is clinging on to hope. Aaron suggests "Aaron" or "Erin" would be good name for the kid.
Jessie has also embraced survival mode, Rick and Jessie look like hooking up, and Tara gives new "Dr. Denise" new found confidence.
A bit of a soap opera, this ep.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- Another total filler of an episode. So was there any significance in the blood seeping through the wall at the end, as a traumatised Deanna walked past? Has Spencer gotten drunk and fallen off the lookout into the walkers? Does anybody care anymore?
And why, oh why, if there was an extremely convenient sewer that allows them to leave and enter the compound inconspicuously, haven't they f*cking used it the whole time??

And my thoughts exactly on the sewer, Trev.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- I know it's too easy to pick plot flaws in TWD, but another thing- so this herd of walkers can push a whole semi-trailer truck into a quarry, because there are so many of them, and yet they can't quite find the force to break down a corrugated iron wall held up by a few pieces of wood.....

Still, I'm expecting the next sighting of Glenn to be as a walker.
But...
- Spoiler:
- If what we were led to believe went down actually happened, then there wouldn't be anything left of Glenn to become a walker, as he was (or was it Nicholas on top of him?) getting ripped to shreds by about a hundred hungry zombies. I assume they don't stop eating a person when the camera cuts away and the scene ends.
They're really teasing out this "cliffhanger". Next week's episode looks like it's going to focus on Daryl, Abraham and Sasha - although in the preview there was a brief shot of the dumpster.
I think he'll survive somehow. Although I'm less sure than I was a couple of episodes back. I guess their withholding tactics are working.
Re: The Walking Dead
S06E06 - more questions?
- Spoiler:
- The ep revolves around Abraham + Sasha, and Daryl , who are separated when an unnamed group shoots at them.
Daryl is ambushed by a trio, who are apparently an escaped bunch from the unnamed group. They hold him captive until he escapes but returns to them when he finds insulin in their ruck sack. They lose insulin-dependent Tina to prone walkers (people she knew) then, after Daryl offers sanctuary in Alexandria, they steal his crossbow and bike. They will pay.
Abraham and Sasha hole up in some town but aren't attacked again. Abraham finds a RPG and ammo and a military uniform. He basically tells Sasha he wants to jump her - she's not impressed. All very vague and bizarre.
Daryl miraculously finds a fueled up and running truck and shows up in the town to pick up Abe and Sasha. As they drive (presumably back to Alexandria) a "help" is heard over Daryl's walkie talkie. Glenn??
The separated stories are beginning to shit me. And let us know what happened to Glenn already.

Re: The Walking Dead
I genuinely have no idea what the plot of this week's offering was, it was so irrelevant - I just kept spacing out when people of no consequence starting talking. Which was all the time.
Something about insulin, a missing person or truck (?) and a couple of vacuum packed walkers. And the obligatory gangs of dangerous lunatics who shoot first and f*ck the corpses later, because that's apparently the only kind of person that still exist in this world.
I'd "spoiler" the above, but it's not even worth it. Nothing is spoiled. Nothing happened, again. We just killed a little more time.
I'm beginning to wonder if AMC - with their tried and trusted approach to successful TV shows (increasing volume whilst cutting budgets) - can afford all their main actors. It doesn't seem as though the top billed cast can all feature in the same episode. Has Carol even been in more than one episode this season?
Limp.

Re: The Walking Dead
S06E07 - well, yay, I guess.
- Spoiler:
- As suspected by some, Glenn DID survive. It WAS Nicholas's guts (on top of Maggie's squeeze) being extracted by the zombies, and he DID shimmy under the dumpster. He then has a brief encounter with Enid, who scarpers without answering his plea about Maggie's well-being. He catches her later, and convinces her to lead him back to Alexandria, where they are shocked to see the place surrounded by Walkers.
Rick, Carol and Michonne get in Morgan's face about his "shall not kill" bulltwang.
Spencer tries to get outside the wall to get a car to draw walkers away but needs Tara and Rick to save him. Rick is pissed at Tara for risking her life but she gives him the bird. Deanna is grateful.
Morgan visits Dr Denise wanting a wound (not his) dressed and asked her about the antibiotic supply. It's probably the walker he locked up - is he attempting to cure it? Carol is suspicious of Morgan's actions.
Alexandrians see green balloons flying and know it's Glenn, but their joy is terminated when an outside tower collapses and smashes a section of the wall.
So the mid-season finale will be Alexandrians fighting, killing and fleeing the incoming walkers, with, no doubt, a number of stars left in major peril.

- Spoiler:
- In the end I think pretty much everyone had guessed that Glenn survived in exactly the way it panned out, so that was a bit predictable.
Predictions- Darryl, Sasha, and Abraham will save them all in Alexandria at the last minute. Morgan's insane prisoner will escape and kill someone important (Carl?? Just got a feeling he's for the chop.....either via a walker/ Morgan's psycho prisoner, or Ron shooting him as revenge for stealing Enid from him). Morgan will either learn a lesson and become a ruthless killer again, or be killed by a devastated Rick as punishment for Carl.
Wild speculation, obviously.
