Really?
Completed innings means all out total.

(Back to Trike's post): Always good to see something on Ranji! And it covers a variety of themes - not only how a historic master played his silky shots, that is.
That leg glance without gloves is a sight to behold, though!

Something to do with a protest against something or other. They're spivs after all, God given right and all that crap.

Yes, a quiet sort of protest. But most obeyed the rules, nonetheless, while posting the ironic protest.

Re: Trivia 2020
John Benaud wore ripple soles shoes, not spikes, in a Shield game ... and was censured for it.
Many NSW devotees insisted that this was why he did not play more tests.
He was in the top 3-4 who had a genuine grievance over THAT OTHER QUNT being named to tour Blighty in 1972.
(Lawry, Redpath, Benaud, McKenzie, and maybe Woodcock were the most conspicuous omissions)

I thought it might have something to do with not wearing your boots into the member's bar at the scg.

Re: Trivia 2020
Does not surprise. J Benaud was quite amusing and not short of opinions. Suspect the Administrators considered he was a bit too much like Keith Miller. He was a fun batsman to watch when on song.

They can't have hated him too much because he was a long term national selector as well.

Think Admins may have changed as well by then.
The old Admins inc DGB were pretty clear they wanted line toeing players. Scamps like Ray (Slug) Jordan were never a chance of national selection. fwiw Slug was a terrific keeper as well as being a damned decent and funny bloke.

Re: Trivia 2020
Simple enough question:
Join the dots between these two apparently *separate* images.
(I suppose this could be expressed in a few ways, but any form of words that cracks the essential link is a correct answer.)
Bonus points if you can find/work out either of the two locations, and one pt each for the 15 players on show. (Or at least, I can see only three in kit in the first picture, 12 in the second.)
PLEASE USE A COWL ("SPOILER") TO GIVE OTHERS A CHANCE!

There is no spoiler icon. You have to type this...
open square bracket ("[") "spoiler" close square bracket ("]")...Your answer...open square bracket ("[") forward slash ("/") "spoiler" close square bracket ("]")

Re: Trivia 2020
- Spoiler:
- Maybe Mike Procter's (and Eddie Barlow and Graeme Pollock) last official Test match at PE in March 1970 and their next "unofficial" Test, for the World XI v England at Lords in June 1970.
In the top pic is obviously Procter (middle),Ali Bacher and Denis Lindsay, dunno the others in suits. In the bottom pic are: Is that Derryk Murray? (doesn't look like him), Intikhab Alam, Mike Procter, Graeme Pollock, Clive Lloyd, Graham McKenzie, Barry Richards, Farokh Engineer, Rohan Kanhai, Eddie Barlow, Garry Sobers, Lance Gibbs.

That's my problem the few times I used it there was an icon, had to be pointed out to me but I didn't need a degree in coding to use it.
