Re: North Korean madness
Silly little fat man trying to convince his starving people he has a big dick. If he waves it in South Korea's direction, expect a large scale US-backed barrage in return.
Absolutely crazy stuff brought on by recent war games conducted jointly by SK and the US. Even Russia is telling the twerp to back off on the idiot rhetoric and symbolic sabre rattling.

More North Korea posturing..
Surely Kim and his Generals reliase that a nuclear strike on the US and/or it territories, or on South Korea will see North Korea blown off the map in a matter of minutes.

Re: North Korean madness
North Korea needs tension with the South and the US in order to justify the disproportionate amount of money it spends on its military.
Kim's backed himself into a corner now- If he does nothing after all the sabre rattling, he becomes a laughing stock who no one takes seriously, and if he orders a strike on the South, US and South Korean military might will blow North Korea off the map.
I've read reports that China has thousands of troops on its border with North Korea, ready to move in should the North's Regime be obliterated.

Re: North Korean madness
China may think North Korea has been North Korea for long enough, and that it should become North East China. I suspect the USA, South Korea, and Japan would all be happy (relatively speaking) to allow this to happen ... it's far easier to deal with the Chinese (with whom there is at least a working relationship) than with the North Koreans. The North Koreans aren't any sort of buffer, they're just mad qunts.

You think that (a) he isn't already a laughing to the rest of the world and (b) he cares what the rest of the world thinks when he can tell his country what to think?
He's the head of one of the most repressive regimes in history- short of actual war, he can simply announce to his people he's won and go home.

Why doesn't the US just take him and his C&C apparatus out. Can't be that hard the sick prick is on TV twice a day reviewing troops.

It might be a body double like Saddam used to have.
Has anyone seen Kim-Jun Un and Psy in the same room by the way?

Re: North Korean madness
You'd be hard put to find a plausible body double for that ugly bastard.
This is North Korea FFS! Why doesn't the CIA pull the old Castro playbook out of the drawer? It was funny then but quite reasonable in this Marx Bros comedy playing out at the mo.

Re: North Korean madness
...groan...none of this is good...of course the NKs are mad as mesquite...the SKs are almost as bonkers...the Ks as a people have been pillaged and enslaved for centuries and are mad as hell..
The ex Mrs H's son lives in SK near the border...teaching English...he's mad as hell too and is staying put...in my last conversation with him I did advise him that it was hight time to grow a pair, eat solids and generally to get off his mum's teet ... currently feeling a strange sensation - is this what guilt is?
....the NKs are less competent than the Melborne Football Club, Reading FC, "bernie" Inverarity and the NSP and Monkeh after a skinfull of sherry...but that does not mean the current regime will go down quietly...
Ex Mrs H is beside herself to the point of speaking in quadraphonia
