The 3rd ODI on 31 August was won by Australia by 38 runs
Australia U19 - 7/242
Hugh Weibgen 76
Harjas Singh 45
Ryan Hicks 32
Theo Wylie 4/36
England U19 - 204
Hamza Shaikh 67
Raf MacMilllan 6/33
Raf MacMillan is an offspinner. I'm pleased to see Hugh Weibgen making runs. He debuted in the Brisbane 1st Grade competition for Valleys back in 2020/21 when he was only 16, an indication that they had a huge opinion of him. I expect he will be a future Shield cricketer for the Bulls.

A next generation Denly already? The old one’s not even retired yet…
Not looking great for England, no idea if this is the pick of our emerging talent though, or if our better prospects are off playing eight-overs-a-side cricket in Cashistan…

Re: Australia U19 tour of England, 2023
England U19 take a first innings lead, thanks to two fat ladies coming twice in their lower order, not to mention 52 extras!!
Oz 4-152 in their second innings heading into the last day.

Re: Australia U19 tour of England, 2023
Harry Dixon 78 not out following 51 in the 1st innings, 167 & 83 in the 1st test & 54 in one of the ODIs. He also made good runs including a century in the series against England here last summer. Dixon scored the 2nd most runs in the 2022/23 Australian Under 19 championships. He has been ok without dominating in Victorian 2nd & 3rd grades but he is only 18 & might be just sorting his game out. He has also secured a BBL contract. His hero is David Warner. What could possibly go wrong?

Noticed in Dymocks a missive about Despicable Dave by Ken Piesse who usually can be relied on for better. Title 'The Bull'. FB comedians, do your worst....
