Australian squad for Bangladesh ODIs
The first ODI is in two weeks. They really don't get much of a break, do they. I think this will be an experimental squad with almost all of the established players missing.
Possible squad-
Clarke(c)
Ferguson
Bailey
D.Hussey
S.Marsh
Finch
Paine+
Christian
Faulkner
Lee
J.Pattinson
Cummins
O'Keefe
Doherty

Not Cummins after Fleas bowled him into the ground in the Shield final. Maybe Copeland though.
Doesn't Christian have to play IPL?

And surely Smith and Hastings will go to. Smith needs a chance to bat up the order a bit.

Smith needs a chance to actually play cricket under someone who's sort of sane.

Forgot about Hastings. I guess for the sake of continuity they have to pick him. I dunno about Smith. His bowling clearly isn't good enough, and his batting probably isn't good enough. The only thing world class is his fielding. But yeah, he'll probably go.
Hastings instead of Faulkner, and Smith instead of O'Keefe.

The original intention was for the world cup squad to go straight to Bangladesh after the final (If we went all the way, which of course we didn't) so I would think that the squad they'd penciled in would have been based on the world cup squad. And the selectors don't change their minds or strategies easily.

the number one selection would have to be Butters..which why he won't go
Hildy] why send Smith on a B tour? ...we already know he can't bat or bowl - lets save him for matches where losing really counts [Hildy

Butterworth's record in List A cricket is poor. His first class bowling record is excellent, but he looks ordinary whenever I see him. Same with Copeland. I don't think you can get away with bowling at 122kph at international level.

butters starred in the Shield Final and is a canny allrounder - maybe not a test class but certainly able to acquit himself in JAMODIs....he also moves the ball and is no slower than Anderson

But the Shield Final is first class cricket, horrie. Anderson usually bowls between 135 and 140kph. Butterworth is between 125 and 135.
