into Asics LINK alleging that several recent injuries could be linked to the use of a particular shoe

Expect this will cause some commercial damage ... I wonder where this might lead if evidence is thin?

not sure - but perhaps they're talking about a particular sub-species of Asics, a 'bowler's boot', rather than potentially slandering the whole brand?
