Under way already with Sri Lanka well on top, 3-300 with Chandimal leading the way with a century. Matthews and Mendis at 4 and 5 are trying to follow suit. Southee took an early wicket to draw level with ITB on wickets taken in Tests …

I think SL are a tougher side than we gave them credit for this summer, even if England played the third Test like a glorified beer match they were in the match for significant periods of the first two as well.

The Flange is a bit of a legend. 113 Tests, 37 years old, nearly 8,000 Test runs at 45 (16 tons).

I wonder how long he can keep going.

And the Lankan curator has rolled out a flat one. Well done to Chandi on his 100. Here's hoping the Flange gets his 17th.

Kamindu Mendis 182* out of 5d-602.

He's some player.

Oh dear, Kiwis. All out 88.

Innings and 400 runs loss beckons.

Jayasuriya certainly knows how to pick up a Michelle.

I think that is his 9th & he is currently playing his 16th test.

How have the Snoozers fallen so far so fast? I know, playing in South Asia is never easy and this Sri Lankan side is proving it has something about it, but it’s still far from Chuck, Sanga et al.

They've picked up a fair bit in their second dig. Tried bowlers, perhaps, but they've been a lot better. I still don't think they'll escape the innings defeat.

So an innings and 154 loss and a 2-0 series defeat. Ordinary Sheep grazing in Sri Lanka.

Congrats to the little Lankans.
