Ashes 1884/85 (Aust lost the series 2-3)
Ashes 1886/87 (two test whitewash by the old enemy)
Ashes 1894/95 (Aust lost the series 2-3)
Ashes 1903/04 (Aust lost the series 2-3)
Ashes 1928/29 (Aust lost the series 1-4)
Ashes 1936/37 (Aust ended up winning the series 3-2)
Ashes 1978/79 (Aust lost the series 1-5)
Australia v Windies 1984/85 (indeed, lost the first three of the five)
Australia v Windies 1988/89 (indeed, lost the first three of the five)
Australia v South Africa 2008/09 (series result not yet known)
Still a chance that this could be the second time Australia has been whitewashed at home.
