The point they're probably trying to make is that she comes from a social group where people are unlikely to have $200K knocking around in their bank accounts. She's gonna get cleaned out and thrown in the slammer, all over 24 poxy songs.

I don't condone piracy, but punishment fitting the crime n'all that.

the US legal system seems to work on maximum deterrence. one reason why they still have capital punishment. not sure if it works all the time

Yeah, that puzzled me too - here you're not allowed to mention the race of someone found guilty of a crime (though most people can tell that of, say, Barend Strydom, apart from Nkosasana Zuma, even with just the report and no pics.)

or she could have gone to one of the many public torrent sites where you don't have to sign up and possibly keep to a certain seeding/upload ratio.

Many of the public torrent sites are becoming laden with spyware Henry. Private trackers, while they do insist on you signing up and maintaining a ratio, are generally spyware and nasty free, and quite often faster. As long as they have a server somewhere in your general georgraphical vicinity.

Haven't heard anything bad about limeweire, but I prefer uTorrent as a program and generally torrentbully as a source of files.

i haven't experienced too much spyware myself but i mostly download tv shows. plus, i always get the EZTV torrents because IMO they're the best.

i do have a private tracker account for downloading PS2 games but i like using pubic sites. TBP, mininova, isohunt etc.

Yep. Limewire has spyware, Limewire Pro doesn't. Frostwire (which works on the same server as Limewire) doesn't.

Maybe it's time to get rid of it then.
I did have quite a few problem with it, when I had Norton Security but since using Avast there's been no problems.

After I downloaded Limewire I had to get in an expert to unclog my computer - plus I never managed to actually download anything.

Limewire=Satan's domain, without the fun times that got you there.
