If it's any consolation it's forecasted 38 tomorrow, 36 Boxing Day, then 39, 36, and cooling down to 34 on Wednesday. Nightly temps don't drop below 20...thank god for air con...

The record low for Aus is -23.4 degrees C (about -10F) but typically in the ski fields it rarely gets anywhere near that. Maybe -10C (14F) is a very cold one. In Sydney we can hit 0C (32F) in the low lying western suburbs and sub-zero in the Blue Mts west of the Sydney Basin.
