Some are talking about the "surprise" omission of Rohit Sharma, but the guy has been terrible in ODIs apart from a couple of centuries against Zimbabwe. He's got a lot of talent, but he has wasted it so far. Deserves to be left out.

The bigger surprise imo is Chawla and Ashwin ahead of Ojha for the second spinner's spot. I reckon Ojha is a pretty good bowler.

Can't figure out why terrible Yuvraj is still in the squad. The 53 he scored a day back was too little after too long IMO. Guy's been given excessively longer rope than most deserve.

ashwin's in since he's from madras. chairman of selectors and his captain favour him. no need for a 3rd spinner with so many part-time options in the playing xi

cant understand why chawla is in. when was the last time he played for india? cant remember him doing much of note even when he did play. ojha should be severely dissapointed

Chawla over Ojha is another mystery unless Dhoni loves Chawla. Munaf edged Sreesanth out due to his last game's performance. Sree may still come in later as both he and Munaf like playing musical chairs and take turns being in the team on account of being injury prone too often.

Batting looks weak in the MO with Gambhir, Sehwag and SRT at top 3. The MO is highly dodgy with Crap Yuvraj, inconsistent Raina, flash in the pan Y. Pathan and still finding his feet [though he has been better of late] Kohli.

Nehra is really crap. Don't know why he keeps getting picked. Is he still living off his spell against England in the 2003 world cup?

Sree ahead of Nehra would have been a better choice. Look at the bright side. At least Dhoni's other love R. Jadeja didn't make it.

Why? Why? Why? How the hell this loser goes on to play so many games for India is beyond me. Something is indeed fishy. As is Ashwin's selection who IMO is a joke of a selection.

When will Srikanth's rein as chairman of selectors end? He seems to be there since etenity. And goes without saying that he is doing pretty crap job.

Only 7 batsmen? For heaven's sake, this is WC. Selecting 3 spinners is surely a joke considering that quite of few of Indian batsmen (Sehwag, Yuvraj, Yusuf, Raina, just to name a few) can turn their arm over.

All in all, joke of a team on almost every count.

Raina and Yuvraj look so out of form. The latter has been out of form for over a year now. 3 x 50s in the last 20 odd odis with a sub 30 average is pretty pathetic.

Can't see Dhoni dropping him though.
