CA rights one wrong, only 643 to go...

The dog's breakfast currently known as the Futures League, which used to be much more obviously titled as the second XI competition will be improved next year, with some of the 'innovations' brought in by Greg Chappell to be ditched, and some to be dramatically watered down.

- Teams will be allowed six players over 23 years old in a team, instead of the three allowed in the past few seasons.
- Matches will four days long instead of three.
- Restrictions of 96 overs in the first innings, and 48 in the second will be ditched.

When will it finally be realised that despite being a great player, Greg Chappell has been an awful coach, and has awful ideas about the game?
Has he done anything good since retiring?

He f*cked over India when he was their coach. He deserves a knighthood for that.

I actually think he accidentally gave the likes of Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman the motivation to prove that they weren't actually washed up has-beens.

In Ganguly's case I don't think it was accidental, he thought he was lord muck who needed a kick up the arse. He also made it clear to them that they'd have to improve their fielding to be #1 and made this a priority in addition to blooding some youngsters. Maybe some of this gets lost in the actual results. It takes time to change culture.
