From the story

The Indian cricket board's official Twenty20 League (IPL) has secured a 10-year rights contract worth more than $1 billion ahead of its launch in April, organisers said on Monday.
Sony Entertainment, a division of Japan's [Images] Sony Corp., and the Asia-based World Sports Group (WSG) are behind the deal.

Yeah. Once the current crop of Legends are gone, India won't even have a team that people will want to see, let alone one that can even win matches at home. I am not sure we will have a half decent test team and a one day team 4 years down the line, so will pay so much to watch also rans in T20?

Possibly, who knows. At least there'll be that Twenty20 'Champions League', I'd get up early/stay up to watch that.

S'hardly the least feasible Northants could do. Alls ye have ta do is win the T20. We're perennial QFists - that's one win away from final's day. Then anything can happen. Besides which, with half a dozen decent Saffies, well....
