The unprecedented Boxing Day Test crackdown involves undercover surveillance officers watching the crowd at the Australia-India match as part of the zero tolerance approach from Cricket Australia and the MCC, report News Ltd newspapers.

People uttering offensive taunts, towards either side, will be evicted from the famous stadium.

Serious offences will result in lifetime bans from the MCG.

The anti-racism plan will include:

* Checks by police and staff for racist slogans on placards and banners.

* Calls to dob in racist fans via a text service or stadium staff.

*A 24 hour hotline for Indian players to call if they suffer racial abuse.

Players will not escape the crackdown.

Umpires are instructed to report racist behaviour.

So monkey noises directed at Roy will - I would imagine - be banned.

But the checking 'for racist slogans on placards and banners' could be interesting. I seem to recall on India's last tour here, a lot of the subi fans braought in little whiteboards to make placards during play.

And interesting that it seems on Indian players will have access to a 24 hour hotline. Then again, Rashid Latif is from Pakistan, and no Indian player would stoop to what he said.

In other words, the MCC's anti-racism policy seems to be inherently racist itself.

Someone really hasn't thought this policy through.

Although the thought of Sachin having to line up to use a public telephone in the midst of a 60,000 crowd is kinda funny.

As if any of them will use the hotline. As has always been the case, the abused player will tell the team manager, who will then inform the appropriate people.

Well according to most on here it seems Australians are the most racist people, so it couldn't possibly be run by us.
Don't get me wrong I don't support Racism in any way,shape or form but for CA to come out and do this reeks of pandering to a paticular ethnicity.
