I watched the Weird Al Yankovic biopic/comedy "Weird". It was really fun.

Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
Just saw Black Adam.
I was a bit of Superman/DC superheroes nuffy as a kid, so knew the DC back story (which helped in fully understanding the plot).
This movie has received mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it. DC movies have been pretty dark so far but this one had some levity.
A good watch in my book.

Visually spectacular but pretty long at 160 mins. My friends (fellow watchers) hadn't seen the original, so there were a few moments that didn't make much sense to them.
Martin Freeman's (CIA Agent Everett Ross), Winston Duke's (Jabari tribe leader M'buku) and Michael B Jordan's (Erik Killmonger, King T'Chaka's murderous cousin) involvement wasn't clear to them, nor was the importance of the meteor delivered vibranium.
A decent watch, that has clearly been set up for a 3rd Black Panther movie.
My kids liked it - I was a bit underwhelmed. Post Infinity Wars, any Earth based threat seems so ho hum.

A fair call.
It set the bar very high.

Saw "The Menu" tonight (Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy).
Not at all what you might expect. Quirky and entertaining.

Saw Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 (2 parts to go) last week. Helluva ride.
Saw Oppenheimer last night. Was apprehensive about the 3 hour run time, but it went very quickly as the movie grabbed you early. Great filem and great performances from Murphy and Downer Jr.

Re-watched 'Three Days of the Condor' a week ago ... what a great movie. No special effects required, but incredible suspense.

Saw The Fall Guy tonight. Total garbage. Massive fail for a movie featuring Gosling and Blunt.
