Re: How many of you have been to Islamabad
Excellent thread!
First time i went to Islamabad was in the summer of 1998. I lived in Faisalabad and by this time i had only visited Lahore and Gujranwala. My parents were very boring in the sense that they never took us on vacations but this time around my uncle and my aunt convinced them to a trip to Islamabad and Murree. Our whole family joined in so there were about 25-30 people so we rented a bus and left from Gujranwala on June 12th(i think) 1998.
As the bus started to move towards Islamabad i felt my life was complete. Here i was with my cousins( cool kids) going to not just Islamabad but Murree as well so it was literally one of the happiest moments of my life. Best thing about the trip was that despite all the hype that i had created for it in my head it was still quite brilliant and NOT an anticlimax.
but yeah thanks for the memories Taips! All your transgressions have been forgiven!
