MLB coming to town Empty MLB coming to town

On a massively slow nooz day, I'm surprised this didn't get a run.

Opening 2 2014 MLB games to be played at SCG

"Major League Baseball officials have cited Australia's impressive ability to produce players as one of the big reasons for starting the 2014 MLB season in Sydney.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will host the Los Angeles Dodgers at the SCG in the season's first two matches on March 22 and 23."

I know MrK is a fan, so I'm guessing he might be in the Members munching hot dogs and singing along with the Hammond Organ music.

(To me) The SCG seems like an odd place to hold it?

Hehehe, I bet. Good luck to the Vin Scully (no relation) of Aus Baseball. Hopefully he gets a nice commentary seat at the games next year.

I thought the Assassin's name was being revealed as Lance, Leonid, or something.

And Skully had done something wrong.

This was the worst kept secret in sport.

Anyway, as an SCG Member this is grouse news.  The batters box is going to be right in front of the new stand.

personally wouldn't pay $20 to watch baseball a second time ... watched one game in San Francisco in 2007; the game was as boring as batshit. The best bit of it was the hot dog, and that wasn't great.

The only memorable bit of the game was Bonds being given a fee 'walk' by the pitcher.
